We've answered some of the questions we're most often asked about converting old tapes, cine film, audio, slides and other media.

Most video and camcorder tapes cost between £10 and £12 per tape, with no additional charge for longer recordings. Other formats are priced individually. See our Prices page for the full tariff.
Our typical turnaround is 5–7 working days. We'll let you know if a particularly large or unusual order is likely to take longer.
Yes. One USB containing your converted digital files is included with your conversion. Additional USB copies are available from £10.
No. We don't charge according to the recording length of your video or camcorder tapes.
Yes. Your memories remain with us here in Essex throughout / never subcontracted, posted to another processing centre or sent overseas.
We operate a local handover service here in Essex rather than asking customers to post irreplaceable originals. We can arrange a convenient drop off or local collection.
Absolutely. Send us a photo by WhatsApp or SMS message and we'll identify the format where possible and explain your conversion options.
Your originals are returned to you together with your new digital files once the conversion and checks are complete.
This depends on the original media. Video is generally supplied as MP4, audio cassettes as MP3 files, and photographs/slides as digital image files.
Don't worry, this is quite common with older collections. We check each tape before conversion. If a tape is completely blank, we don't charge you. If we find that a tape only contains old TV recordings rather than your personal footage, we'll normally leave it unconverted and let you know.
Damaged media doesn't necessarily mean your memories are lost. Where possible, we can attempt to clean mouldy tapes or film and/or carry out repairs to damaged tapes, cassettes or cine reels before conversion.
We will always assess the condition first and contact you before attempting any cleaning or repair, so nothing is done to your original media without your agreement.
We convert VHS, VHS-C, Video8, Hi8, Digital8, MiniDV, MicroMV, Standard 8mm and Super 8mm cine film, audio cassettes, slides, negatives and several older digital formats. If you're unsure, send us a photo and we'll check it.
